Evergreen Community Capital is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation based in Michigan, operating at the intersection of housing stability, financial empowerment, and entrepreneurship. We are currently in our pilot phase, actively seeking funding partners, grant opportunities, and corporate sponsors to help us launch and scale our programs in Flint, MI and Houston, TX.
Why Partner With Evergreen?
Evergreen is not another nonprofit with a vague mission. We are a scalable community investment model with a defined three-phase framework, a leadership team with decades of combined experience in finance, housing, and community development, and a multi-state expansion strategy built for long-term impact.
Our founders are two Gates Millennium Scholars from Flint, Michigan — one with an MBA, MAcc, and deep expertise in housing authority finance, HUD compliance, and nonprofit financial management; the other with a Master’s in Administration of Justice and a career in community development, creative strategy, and social impact. This is not a passion project. This is a professional infrastructure investment in communities that have been overlooked for too long.
What Your Investment Supports
Funding Evergreen Community Capital means investing in a model that creates measurable, lasting change at three levels: individual stabilization (housing navigation, eviction prevention, emergency financial counseling), family empowerment (financial literacy, credit building, first-time homebuyer education, workforce readiness), and community ownership (small business development, microenterprise support, homeownership closing assistance, leadership development).
Funding Priorities for 2025–2026
We are currently seeking funding support for: (1) Pilot program launch in Flint, MI — housing navigation and financial empowerment cohort; (2) Pilot program launch in Houston, TX — entrepreneurship and small business development cohort; (3) Staff and operational capacity to support program delivery and participant tracking; (4) Technology infrastructure for case management, financial coaching tools, and participant reporting.
Partnership Opportunities
We welcome conversations with foundations, government agencies, corporate partners, individual major donors, and aligned nonprofit organizations. Whether you are interested in a one-time grant, a multi-year funding commitment, a service partnership, or a co-programming collaboration — we are open to building something meaningful together.
